As a fashion stylist I spend most of my time planning and coordinating outfits. Sometimes the work is very high profile, often centering on fashion shows, catwalks, and major design firms; other times, it is more understated and personal. Whether working to coordinate a fashion shoot or simply dress a single client, though the crux of the work remains the same. A fashion stylist is responsible for putting together clothing ensembles to meet the demands of specific clients. Partnering with High-level stylists we collaborate directly with designers to produce custom clothing for celebrity clients for editorials, Tv/Film, commercial ; this is common us celebrity stylists whose clients attend awards shows, and for fashion editors at top magazines. We also provide services such as personal shopping, restructuring a client’s entire wardrobe, reorganizing a client’s closet, or other duties relating to the client’s personal lifestyle. A personal stylist is concerned with an individual rather than a particular fashion brand. With the recent rise of fame for celebrity stylists like Trinny and Susannah and Gok Wan the general public have heightened their interest and awareness in understanding the theory behind achieving styles that suit them. Personally we are now addressing this demand and serving the general public who view the service as a luxury but a beneficial experience. Typically a personal stylist will be able to cover colour consultations, body shape clarification, styles to suit lifestyles, make-up consultation and personal shopping services. A personal stylist will help an individual understand what styles of clothing suit their natural features and lifestyles, ” Assisting that person to achieve confidence in the way they look and feel.” |
